OPERATION

Unlike many of the electronic sensor this sensor is built into the ECU.
The BARO sensor detects barometric pressure. The ECU adjusts fuel mixture to compensate for changes in altitude and shift point adjustment at high altitude.


TESTING

Separate component testing is not possible without ECU disks assembly. If the vehicle exhibits stalling, unstable idle and poor performance check the electrical and fuel system. Replace the ECU when all other possibilities have been exhausted.


REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

The BARO sensor, located inside the ECU is not serviceable. The ECU should be replaced if the BARO sensor is found to be defective.
