My Impreza came with some locking wheel nuts as standard, but they are a very poor design and with frequent use the security pins tens to elongate and eventually fail. In it's first few years of life my car remained standard, so the only time the wheels came off the car were during the routine servicing.


Now that I've modified the car by adding up rated brakes and suspension items, the wheels are off the car more often, so rather than waiting until the locking wheel nuts failed I bought a set of McGard ones from my local Halfords.

These are simply a straight replacement for the originals and takes minutes to swap over.
